I just got the official cover for my May 2014 release from Harlequin's Love Inspired Suspense:

Yay! It's so cool. And really weird to see my name on the cover of a book. Although, I imagine holding a physical copy (which should come soon) will be even more surreal.

Welcome to 2014!

Another year.

Crazy, huh? I'm having trouble believing it, even though it seems like ages (forever, if you're not British) since I signed my first book contract in October 2012. Now there are only two months until book club readers will get my May release, DOUBLE AGENT.

This year will mark a lot of firsts for me:

First book
First self-published book (more to come on that later)
First cover reveal
First newsletter
First time teaching a conference workshop

I'll keep you posted on all the happenings, but I just wanted to leave you with a thought. This year, on January 1st, I woke up and everything felt..different.
Maybe it was just that mentally I knew it was the start of a new year. But everything was all fresh and full of promise. Which is hokey, and since I'm the least hokey person on the planet it was a little off-putting. Still, I'll endeavor to muddle through.

If you haven't seen it yet, my book is up on Amazon and Barnes and Noble already!! It's release is scheduled for March (and I've got another one coming in September that I'm polishing right now), so there's no cover yet, but I still like to sit back and stare at it while I drink my tea. I called my mom (mum) to tell her and she pre-ordered a copy while I was on the phone with her. *grins*
