Help me pick a cover...

I'm trying to decide what covers to use for my first two Inspirational Romantic Suspense self-published novels, Target (the prequel story) and Bait (the full-length novel that follows it). Soon as I know which one to use, I can have my fab cover designer Kristine McCord (seriously, they're all AWESOME) start working on them while I finish up editing.

Here's the descriptions:

And the prequel story: TARGET
Special Agent Liam Conners leaves the gym at his apartment complex late one night and sees the front door of his neighbor's apartment is open. The Chloroform Killer has struck again, and this time Liam's cute neighbor is the victim. Andrea James has given up on the dream of forever-love. Her drug-addict sister must have slept at her apartment and been abducted by mistake. When the killer tries again, Liam vows to protect her. But the Chloroform Killer escapes, sparking an idea: Liam's partner wants to go undercover.

BAIT
FBI Special Agent Caisey Lyons is going under cover…to get abducted by a serial killer. A serial killer who knows exactly who she is and why she’s there.  In the aftermath of her abduction Caisey decides to go to Buckshot, Colorado. But instead of clearing out her father’s old hunting cabin, she finds a homicidal sheriff…and an old flame. After he testified against his father seventeen years ago, Gabe Carlen has been hiding from his uncle. Caisey might be the one woman he’s never forgotten, but she’s also brought his uncle right to his doorstep. And revenge is sure to follow.  While the Chloroform Killer wrestles with a growing obsession for Caisey, she has to repair the rift in her family and figure out how to have a future with Gabe. Only by trusting God with their safety can she let go long enough to save herself.

I know what the cover will be for Target (so in every instance that one is the same) but I can't decide what the cover should be for Bait. What do you think?

  1. I like A the best, I think. The covers look the most alike and will be easily recognized as a series.

  2. I'm going to say A as well, but B is a close second! I think if the picture was colored for B I would say that one instead!

  3. I vote A, too. Congrats and best of luck.

  4. Thanks!

I have a favorite, but I'm not telling.
    Yet.

  5. Karissa votes for A. My answer is longer, of course. :)
I imagined Caisey with shorter hair, but I like the cohesive look between the two books in A. I imagined Caisey looking more like the last girl if it could be zoomed in and dark like the first choice. She looks more like a pretty/tough tomboy

  6. My daughter votes C but I prefer B...but I liked the white lettering best.

  7. A without a doubt because they are a series. I like the aesthetics of B better, however don't like the blue writing and the black and white picture
The blue writing changed with the picture in color, to me is the better cover

  8. I like B, but can you make the colors of the cover match? If they were both black with white writing it would look better. I like A, but I don't like that I can't see her face on the second book.

  10. I say A as well. That one just catches my eye. It seems like most romance novels have covers similar to B, C, or D. I say stand out if you can while still remaining in the genre. But I don't know the romance genre very well myself.

  11. Thank you all!
(I just knew you'd be picky, Becky!)
I've tallied the results and I'll be making the announcement soon.
    Your guys are gret :)

  12. I like A. It fits best with the first one, and her face being hidden symbolically reinforces the message.
